Apples & Pear Nachos

A fun, Whole Food, Plant-Based twist on a classic treat! These Apples & Pears Nachos feature crisp slices drizzled with creamy nut butter and crunchy toppings for a healthy, kid-friendly 10-minute snack. They're also adult friendly and totally yummy!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large organic apples Honeycrisp or Granny Smith work great
  • 2 medium pears Bosc or Anjou
  • 1/2 cup caramel drizzle (recipe link in the notes)
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs or dairy-free mini chocolate chips
  • Optional: A sprinkle of cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Core and thinly slice the apples and the pears.
  2. Arrange the slices in a circular pattern on a large plate, overlapping slightly like nachos.
  3. Drizzle the caramel drizzle evenly over the slices.
  4. Top with walnuts, cacao nibs, and a dash of cinnamon.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

The apples and pears are the star here but the caramel drizzle is the added punch you need just to make you sit up and take notice. Not too much or it drowns out the flavors. Just the right amount to compliment.
