Chocolate-covered bananas

Yumminess on a stick! This fruit dessert satisfies a sweet tooth and a chocolate craving. Super simple and easy.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 bananas
  • 6 skewers
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup non-dairy milk
Optional Toppings
  • Frozen strawberry shavings
  • Maple syrup drizzle
  • Cinnamon
  • Chia seeds
  • Crushed granola
  • Chopped dried dates or figs
  • For those not managing heart disease:
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Peanut Butter
  • Peanuts
  • Walnuts

Method
 

  1. Peel bananas
  2. Stick skewers through banana
  3. Melt chocolate -- bring a pot of water to boil on the stove.
  4. Put a glass bowl on top and add chocolate chips.
  5. Add milk as needed for desired consistency (runny enough to roll bananas in but not too runny).
  6. Once chocolate is melted, roll bananas in chocolate.
  7. Eat then or put on a pan in the freezer for an hour.
