Travis loves Boston Baked Beans, but I'm from Alabama so we're making Smokey Southern Baked Beans. These are super yummy and perfect for any potluck or cookout.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cans cooked beans navy beans and canellini beans
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce look for one that’s naturally sweetened or make your own
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 bay leaves

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the sauce: In a bowl, whisk together BBQ sauce and molasses.
  3. Combine: Add navy beans to a small baking dish, then pour the sauce over top. Stir gently until the beans are fully coated.
  4. Add flavor: Tuck in the bay leaves — they’ll infuse that deep, savory aroma.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake another 15 minutes until thick and bubbly.
  6. Serve warm: Remove bay leaves before serving and enjoy as a hearty side dish with burgers, corn on the cob, or roasted veggies.
